Pressing a pedal only changes how the sound rings out, never how long the note bar is drawn; you can keep playing notes normally while it's held or toggled on. "Hide pedal bar" above only hides the on-screen pedal graphics — the pedals themselves keep working.

If your sustain pedal gets "stuck" — keys/particles keep firing right after you release it instead of while you're pressing it — your pedal's polarity is reversed. Turn this on to fix it.
